Success by the Numbers

We get positive results

At South Park Inn, we believe that data and science should serve as a self-check to see how we are performing in service of our mission to end homelessness. Across the United States, all homelessness services providers are measured for their ability to reduce lengths of stay and their ability to place participants directly from shelter into permanent housing.

Below is an analysis of data for three entities—the state of Connecticut, the Greater Hartford Coordinated Access Network, and South Park Inn—over a five-year period, 2017-2021.

Lengths of stay

Average lengths of stay

From January 1, 2017, through December 3, 2019, South Park Inn outperformed both the state and the Greater Hartford Coordinated Access Network when it came to lengths of stay for persons in shelter. All three entities saw a dramatic increase in 2020 for lengths of stay due to barriers to shelter exit presented by the pandemic.

South Park Inn’s excellent performance

South Park Inn outperformed statewide averages with respect to exits to permanency for the entire period under review (January 1, 2017, through November 3, 2020) and outperformed the GHCAN measures for calendar years 2017, 2019, and 2020.
