Veterans' Services

Freedom and security are everyone's responsibility

South Park Inn has a long history of serving Veterans of America’s armed forces. We honor the sacrifice and courage of the men and women who put themselves at great personal risk to defend our freedom, and we believe passionately that it is our community’s responsibility to protect Veterans’ rights upon their return, including their right to safe, affordable housing and support to overcome the challenges of returning to civilian life.

Our VA-funded 15-bed transitional housing program provides a safe place to stay, meals, clothing, and other necessities, and peer and case management support to Veterans of America’s armed forces. The Veterans’ Services Case Manager helps Veterans identify any barriers they are experiencing to housing and to reasserting control over their lives. The transitional housing program meets Veterans where they are, and we work to minimize barriers to entering the program. There is no requirement for sobriety, VA healthcare eligibility, income, a clean criminal history, or ongoing mental health treatment to be eligible to stay with us.

South Park Inn traditionally operates a Veterans Drop-In Center to provide on-site community outreach to Veterans. Through the Drop-In Center, representatives of the state and federal Departments of Veterans Affairs and other Veteran-serving organizations are available to assist with accessing benefits and services. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Drop-In program is on pause.
